Technical discussions between Ukrainian and American teams regarding the mineral agreement are set to begin on Friday, April 11.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishyna during a press conference in Brussels, as reported by "European Truth".
Stefanishyna stated that the technical consultations will take place in Washington, involving teams from the Ukrainian Ministries of Justice and Economy.
When asked by a journalist about the details of these consultations, she mentioned that she cannot comment on them at this time.
"I am unable to discuss any specifics since the meeting is only tomorrow, but I will be able to comment afterward," said Stefanishyna.
She also emphasized that nothing in the agreement could undermine Ukraine's existing commitments, including financial ones under the European program of macro-financial assistance from the IMF.
"This is not subject to any negotiation format, which means relevant adjustments must be made to the agreement format later," she added.
It is known that following negotiations in Jeddah on March 11, the presidents of the USA and Ukraine reached a consensus on the agreement regarding the development of critical mineral resources in Ukraine.
After this, Stefanishyna stated that the framework agreement with the USA regarding mineral resources is complete, and Ukraine is ready to sign at any time.
On March 24, Trump announced that the agreement on rare earth metals with Ukraine would be signed "soon," while Ukrainian President Zelensky mentioned that the United States offered a new version of the minerals agreement that would immediately require ratification by parliament beyond the initial framework agreement.
