Details: The UK Ministry of Defence stated that during the meeting of the defense leaders of the "coalition of the willing", security issues and long-term peace support for Ukraine from partner countries will be addressed.
"The UK and France are convening a meeting of defense ministers in Brussels to further discuss peace support measures for Ukraine," – reported European Truth referencing the British Ministry of Defence.
"UK Defense Minister John Healey and his French counterpart Sébastien Lecornu will host around 30 countries participating in planning for the 'coalition of the willing' in Brussels," – the statement added.
This meeting will be the first after the visit of British and French military leaders to Kyiv last weekend.
"The meeting will focus on how best to utilize the capabilities of each coalition country to support Ukraine's long-term defense and security," – the UK Ministry of Defence said.
"The Prime Minister and the Defense Minister have clearly stated that reliable security guarantees are essential for achieving lasting peace in Ukraine, which would deter Russian aggression. The UK is enhancing its role as a leader in international support to assist Ukraine in its fight and provide it with the strongest position for securing peace," – the statement emphasized.
