Ukraine's Response to Congresswoman Spartz's Statements

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA) has reacted to the recent statements made by Ukrainian-American Congresswoman Victoria Spartz, who suggested a need for "adjusting" perceptions regarding territories.

Spokesman Georgiy Tykhyy emphasized that "all our lands have always been and will remain Ukrainian".

The MFA of Ukraine sharply responded to Spartz’s remarks.

This statement came as a reaction to Spartz's interview with The Telegraph, where she asserted that Ukrainians "should accept the transfer of their territories to Russia" and expressed confusion over Ukraine's demands to retain all its lands.

"Unlike Victoria, all our lands have always been and will remain Ukrainian," Tykhyy noted.

It's worth mentioning that Victoria Spartz's stance from the Republican Party on supporting Ukraine has shifted. Initially a strong advocate for assistance, last year she voted against a $61 billion aid package, unfoundedly accusing the Ukrainian government of corruption.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that no side will prevail in this war through military might.

In February, President Zelensky met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.

Zelensky stressed that a shift to diplomacy must "lead to a just peace" in Ukraine.

The issue of Russian-occupied territories remains a key concern in resolving the conflict.

A Trump envoy stated that the goal of negotiations between the US, Ukraine, and Russia is to achieve a 30-day ceasefire, although Russia consistently violates it.

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the 30-day ceasefire will depend on a strong response from the US to Russia's attempts to stall the process.
