President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Oleksiy Havrysh as the new ambassador of Ukraine to Norway.

The relevant decree number 218/2025 was published on the President's Office website on April 7, as reported by "European Truth".

"Appoint Oleksiy Havrysh as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway", – states the decree.

Oleksiy Havrysh is a businessman recognized for his expertise in strategic and corporate management in the energy and investment sectors.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has asserted that he possesses experience in Norwegian affairs and is a specialist in energy issues.

The position of the Ukrainian ambassador in Norway has been vacant since the summer of 2022 when President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the previous ambassador Vyacheslav Yatsyuk after six years in office.
