American billionaire Elon Musk has announced he will allocate $1 million for a project commemorating the memory of slain Ukrainian Irina Zarutska.

The Tesla and SpaceX owner shared this news on the social media platform X.

«I will contribute $1 million,» Musk wrote in response to the initiative by Intercom's CEO Eoghan McCabe, who suggested creating murals depicting the murdered Ukrainian in American cities.

«I am proposing $500,000 in grants of $10,000 each for the creation of murals featuring Irina Zarutska in notable cities across the United States,» McCabe stated on X.

He provided contact information for those interested in contributing to the initiative and encouraged spreading this invitation.

It is important to note that 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Irina Zarutska was tragically killed at the end of August at a train station in Charlotte, North Carolina. On September 8, President Donald Trump described the murder of the 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee as horrific, promising to investigate the details of this tragedy, expressing condolences to the victim's family, and comparing the incident to other instances of anti-Christian sentiment in the country.
