The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland, Andriy Sybiha and Radoslaw Sikorski, held crucial consultations after Russian drones violated Polish airspace.

This information was shared by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on their social media platform X.

“Before the Council of Ministers meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radoslaw Sikorski, consulted with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to NATO, Jacek Najder,” the statement said.

The ministry emphasized that the safety of Polish citizens is a top priority.

On the night of September 10, Polish military forces shot down drones that repeatedly breached the country's airspace. One of the damaged drones was found in a field in the village of Chosnuvka near Biała Podlaska in the Lublin region.

Poland labeled the drone incursions as an “act of aggression” and called for an emergency security meeting. President of Poland Karol Nawrocki announced that he would convene a meeting at the National Security Bureau with the participation of Prime Minister Donald Tusk soon.
