A passenger train derailed in Germany on Sunday evening, leading to a tragic outcome where three individuals lost their lives and 34 sustained injuries.

Details: The accident occurred in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg around 18:10 near the town of Riedlingen in the Biberach district. According to a spokesperson from the federal police in Stuttgart, two cars of the regional express train operated by Deutsche Bahn derailed.
At the time of the incident, there were approximately 100 passengers on board.
At least three of them were injured. The exact condition of the victims is currently unknown.
The publication reports that rescuers from the fire service and ambulance are working on the overturned cars, trying to reach the passengers. Sounds of distress can be heard at the scene.
The cars derailed in a forest and came to a halt among the trees on a slope. Some parts of the train lie on their side, with the roof of one of the cars exposed. Rescue teams are searching the cars for additional victims, as it is likely not all passengers have been accounted for.
Police have reported challenging conditions for accessing the accident site. As of 19:30, numerous police, fire service, and medical personnel are on the scene assisting the injured.
The rescue service has classified the situation as a "mass casualty incident," indicating that a large number of people require medical attention simultaneously.
