The French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot described the meetings held in Paris on April 17 as a significant diplomatic achievement for France, bringing together representatives from the USA, Europe, and Ukraine.
This statement was made by the minister during an interview with LCI, as reported by "European Truth".
Following the meeting, which included delegates from Ukraine, the UK, France, Germany, and the USA, Barrot emphasized that this is a "diplomatic success" for his country.
"This is a true success for France, as for the first time Americans, Ukrainians, and Europeans sat down together," he stated.
He highlighted the importance of these meetings, noting that "we are moving towards our shared goal: achieving peace."
"To make this happen, we must continue the dialogue. Americans want to end this war," he continued, adding that Americans are "listening" and seeking a ceasefire.
As reported, on April 17, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed a US delegation at the Élysée Palace. A meeting also took place in Paris between the Ukrainian delegation and representatives from France, Germany, and the UK.
