The air defense forces successfully intercepted 15 "Iskander-M"/S-300 ballistic missiles, one Kh-59/69 missile, and 197 drones launched by Russian invaders against Ukraine on the evening of February 11. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Telegram channel.
Starting from 18:00 on February 11, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 24 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M"/S-300 from Bryansk, Voronezh, and Rostov regions, as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea, and a guided missile Kh-59/69 from the airspace of a temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region, along with 219 strike drones of types Shahed, "Gerbera", "Italmas", and other types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo (RF), and Hvardiyske (Crimea). Approximately 150 of these were Shahed drones.
The primary targets for the strikes included Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
As of 09:00 on February 12, preliminary data indicated that the air defense had shot down or suppressed 213 aerial targets:
- 15 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M"/S-300;
- one guided air missile Kh-59/69;
- 197 drones.
There were confirmed hits of 9 missiles and 19 strike UAVs across 13 locations, along with debris falling in 14 areas.
The attack continues, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
During the night of February 12, Russian forces launched a combined massive attack on Lozova in the Kharkiv region using, according to preliminary data, ballistic missiles and strike drones "Geran-2". A man and a woman were killed, and six others were injured.
