The Ukrainian Air Forces have neutralized 406 drones and nine missiles launched by Russian forces targeting Ukraine on the evening of November 7. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
From 6:30 PM on Friday, November 7, Russian forces conducted a combined strike on critical infrastructure in Ukraine using attack drones and missiles from air, ground, and sea platforms.
In total, the radio technical troops of the Air Forces detected and tracked 503 aerial threats – 45 missiles (of which 32 were ballistic) and 458 drones of various types (about 300 of which were Shahed type):
- 458 attack drones of the Shahed type, "Gerbera", and other types of drones launched from directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsk-Akhtarsk (RF), and Hvardiske (temporarily occupied Crimea);
- 25 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M/KN-23" (from the Kursk, Voronezh, and Rostov regions);
- 10 cruise missiles "Iskander-K" (from the Kursk and Voronezh regions);
- seven aerobalistic missiles X-47M2 "Kinzhal" (from Tambov region);
- three cruise missiles "Kalibr" (from the Black Sea area).
The primary targets of the attack were the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions.
The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 8, the air defense had downed 415 aerial targets: 406 drones and 9 missiles of various types.
Hits were recorded from 26 missiles and 52 attack drones at 25 locations, with debris from downed objects falling in four locations across different regions of Ukraine.
Furthermore, as of 10:00 AM, information regarding the fall/hit of 10 enemy missiles is being clarified.
