On the night of October 21 to 22, Russian forces launched extensive attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities. This was reported by DTEK and local energy companies.
Primarily, energy installations in Kyiv were affected.
Additionally, the infrastructure of Poltava region suffered damage. Due to direct hits and falling debris, facilities in the gas and oil sector in the Mirhorod district were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
In Odesa region, Russian forces attacked Izmail, causing damage to energy and port facilities.
"The energy supply of the city is gradually being restored, critical infrastructure is operating on generators. Points of resilience have been established in the city," – noted the head of Odesa OVA Oleg Kiper at 08:12 AM on October 22.
DTEK also reported attacks on its facilities in the Odesa region.
Moreover, reports of hits on energy infrastructure also came from Cherkasy region. The OVA stated without further details that there are "consequences for critical infrastructure".
In Sumy region, at least one hit on a civilian infrastructure object was reported.
In Chernigiv region, the aggressor struck energy objects in three communities – in the Koryukivka and Novgorod-Seversky districts.
"Our energy workers worked for a whole day to restore power," – the OVA stated.
In Kirovohrad region, a missile and drone attack was recorded, resulting in 27 settlements being left without electricity.
In Kamianske in Dnipropetrovsk region, the enemy hit an infrastructure object. Similar hits were also reported in two communities of the region.
In the city of Lozova in Kharkiv region, the railway infrastructure was damaged.
