In Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, Russian forces launched an attack, resulting in one civilian injury and damage to a gas distribution station, residential buildings, and other infrastructure.
This information was shared on Facebook by the head of the Kostiantynivka city military administration, Serhiy Horbunov.
«The enemy's shelling caused damage to the gas distribution station owned by LLC «Operator of Gas Transport Systems of Ukraine». «Since the beginning of the day on August 22, Russian forces conducted a series of shelling on Kostiantynivka. The attacks lasted for several hours and resulted in significant destruction of civilian infrastructure... One civilian was injured,» Horbunov noted.
He added that damages to private and apartment buildings, a store, the Ukrposhta building, and a gas pipeline were recorded.
According to Horbunov, it is currently impossible to restore gas supply in the city.
«Considering the security situation, the inability of emergency services to respond promptly to localize and eliminate emergencies, the lack of personnel, and the absence of safety guarantees for workers, further work to restore gas supply in Kostiantynivka is not possible,» the statement reads.
