Since the evening of August 21, Ukrainian air defense forces have been engaged in repelling an assault involving 55 Shahed-type drones and various imitators. They successfully neutralized 46 drones, yet some did reach their targets.

This information was disclosed by the Ukrainian Air Forces in their Telegram channel.

According to the Air Forces: "As of 9:00 AM, our forces have shot down 46 enemy Shahed-type drones and imitators in the northern and eastern regions of the country. We recorded 9 hits at 4 different locations".

The attackers launched their drones from Russian cities including Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Hvardiyisk, located in the temporarily occupied Crimea. In response to the aerial assault, Ukrainian defense forces employed anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.
