A drone strike in Donetsk has injured a driver of a civilian freight train.

Uzhd Statement: "All ceasefire proposals are ignored, and attacks on railway infrastructure continue: today (May 12 – ed.) a hostile drone once again struck a civilian freight train."

Details: The driver sustained shrapnel wounds to the leg. He received immediate medical assistance and was hospitalized. His condition is stable.

Ukrainian Railways emphasized that the attack did not disrupt train operations.

"Despite the dangers of working near the frontline, our drivers bravely continue their duties wearing bulletproof vests and helmets, equipped with medical kits for assistance. They accept the risks, as it is crucial to maintain train movement wherever possible," the statement from Ukrainian Railways concluded.
