The military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine, with the assistance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has apprehended another Russian informer in Mykolaiv region. The individual is a 21-year-old serviceman from one of the air defense units of the Armed Forces, recruited by the enemy.
The investigation revealed that he was leaking information to the Russian Federation about the air defense system near operational airfields of Ukrainian forces.
Specifically, it was documented that during an air raid alert, the informer was recording a monitor with secret software on his phone while on duty.
He also provided the enemy with details about the flight paths of Ukrainian aviation and the combat positions of Ukrainian air defense units.
Using this intelligence, the Russians hoped to strike at the defense forces' airfields while bypassing radar systems and mobile fire groups.
However, the SBU operatives acted preemptively and arrested the informer immediately after his first communication with the occupiers. At the same time, comprehensive measures were conducted to secure the positions of the Ukrainian troops.
It has been established that the suspect came to the attention of Russian special services when he posted pro-Kremlin comments in Telegram channels.
During searches, a smartphone containing evidence of his collaboration with the Russian Federation was confiscated.

Based on the collected evidence, investigators informed him of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

• ⁠Part 3 of Article 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information regarding the movement, transfer of weapons, movement, or deployment of the Armed Forces or other military formations created under the laws of Ukraine, committed during martial law);
• ⁠Part 1 of Article 361-2 (unauthorized sale or distribution of restricted information stored in electronic computing machines, automated systems, computer networks, or on carriers of such information).

The offender faces up to 12 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing to establish all circumstances of the crime.
Comprehensive measures were conducted under the procedural guidance of the Mykolaiv specialized prosecutor's office in the defense sector.
