The Save Ukraine team has achieved remarkable success by rescuing 8 Ukrainian children and teenagers from occupied areas, as reported by Mykola Kuleba, the founder and executive director of the organization.
“We are truly grateful to everyone who helped make this mission possible, especially to Volodymyr Klitschko and Tetiana Kil from We Are All Ukrainians. These children have endured unimaginable hardships, but now they are finally safe,” Kuleba added. “They can return to a normal life, enjoy their childhood, and feel the love around them.”
Among the rescued:
- 11-year-old David, who had not stepped outside his home for nearly four years due to fear of being spotted. He studied online under the Ukrainian program while his mother worried for their safety.
- 18-year-old Matviy, who, along with his brother, was coerced into military registration under threats of fines and deportation.
- 17-year-old Vsevolod and 15-year-old Eva, who faced humiliation at a Russian school and were afraid to attend classes.
- 21-year-old Myroslav, who experienced a search and torture in his own home due to suspicions of collaboration with Ukrainian forces.
According to Kuleba, all the children are now under protection. In special centers, they receive psychological support and assistance in rebuilding their lives. Over 900 children have managed to escape danger thanks to Save Ukraine, but thousands are still waiting for help.
