In Ukraine, 13 regions have started the gradual connection of heating systems to residential buildings. This information comes from the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
"There is partial connection in 13 regions. Other areas will also gradually begin connecting consumers," said Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Kostyantyn Kovalchuk.
"Currently, over 55% of social infrastructure facilities are already connected to heating, including more than 5,000 kindergartens, nearly 6,000 educational institutions, and over 2,000 healthcare facilities," he noted.
For the start of the heating season, more than 17,500 boiler houses and 17,000 kilometers of heating networks have been prepared, of which 340 km have been replaced, along with major repairs and boiler replacements.
Kovalchuk emphasized that this heating season began under unprecedented enemy attacks on energy and thermal generation facilities. Residential buildings, heating systems, and water supply networks suffer daily from enemy shelling.
"We anticipate a challenging winter, but the technical readiness of heating supply enterprises allows us to start the heating season. I want to thank all communities for their prudent and economical approach to the start of the heating season," he added.
