At the VI International Film Festival "Svitlo", audiences will have the chance to choose their favorite in the "Audience Award" category from 30 films of diverse genres. A press conference dedicated to the festival took place at KyivInform, where details of the event, scheduled for September 14 to 16 at the Ukrainian House, were discussed.

The organizers believe that this festival, showcasing "films with profound meaning", will serve as a source of inspiration for viewers of all ages, providing them with an emotional boost to believe in Ukraine's victory.

Festival president Kostyantyn Shapovalov noted that "Svitlo" kicks off the festival season in Ukraine. The festival includes national and international competitions covering feature-length and short films, as well as a special category for social videos.

"Those who visit the Ukrainian House will enjoy quality cinema that promotes moral values, both Christian and human," emphasized Shapovalov.

It is known that the opening and closing of the festival will feature two feature films, along with short animated, live-action, and documentary films. Filmmakers from the Netherlands, Germany, the USA, Colombia, and Moldova are participating in the festival.

Festival director Svitlana Tymoshenko spoke about the opening film - the Ukrainian sports drama "Pulse" about the Paralympic champion Oksana Boturchuk, who will be present at the opening to share her story with the audience.

Svitlana Kryvich, the deputy director, highlighted the social video category, stating that today anyone can shoot short videos addressing important social issues.

The festival's motto "Meanings that do not fade" inspires young directors to achieve new creative heights.

Additionally, Larysa Kotliakova from the communications department noted that audiences can look forward to screenings of two animated works that have already received recognition at international festivals.

The International Film Festival "Svitlo" was established in 2013 with the aim of inspiring Ukrainian artists to create deep and meaningful works.
