A significant mobilization evasion scheme has been uncovered in Zaporizhzhia, orchestrated by a lawyer and her family. The suspects sold military conscripts fake medical certificates about the supposed disability of their relatives to gain deferment from the draft. According to investigative materials, 4.7 million hryvnias and 641 thousand rubles were seized during searches at the suspects' premises. The criminals operated from the same office, engaging doctors to falsify medical conclusions which were then submitted to local government authorities. Subsequently, they sold the entire package of forged documents for 5,500 USD.

Law enforcement has already detained the organizer of the scheme - the lawyer, who has been charged under Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigations are ongoing to identify other participants in the crime. The criminals face up to 8 years in prison with asset confiscation.
