In Chernihiv, the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended another woman linked to the FSB. She was planning to supply the enemy with crucial geolocation data for upcoming aerial strikes on northern regions of Ukraine. During her arrest, the suspect attempted to destroy her correspondence with her handler and smash her phone to eliminate evidence.
According to the case materials, the detainee is a 39-year-old local resident who drew the attention of the occupiers through Telegram channels advertising «easy earnings».
After being recruited, she was dispatched to the Kyiv region, where she aimed to scout and relay the locations of airfields housing combat helicopters to the enemy. The investigation established that she received a «route sheet» from the FSB containing addresses of potential military installations for reconnaissance. However, the document lacked any current coordinates of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
When the suspect failed to locate defense facilities at the coordinates provided by her handler, she returned to Chernihiv to adjust the plans for Russian air strikes on local military enlistment offices. Following instructions from the Russian intelligence service, she rented an apartment in a nine-story building near the military enlistment center. In her apartment, she installed a camera with remote access for the FSB to monitor when the area would have the highest concentration of military personnel for a missile strike.
SBU agents meticulously documented the agent's crimes and secured the locations of the Defense Forces in her area of operation. At the final stage of the special operation, she was detained in her hideout.
Investigators from the SBU informed her of the suspicion under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). The suspect is currently in custody without the right to bail and faces life imprisonment.
