Ukraine has signed an agreement with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), which will allocate €50 million for a subsidized mortgage lending program for internally displaced persons.

This was announced by the State Fund for Youth Housing Construction (Darmolodzhytlo).

“Under this agreement, CEB's funds of €50 million will be used to finance a subsidized mortgage lending program for internally displaced persons – citizens of Ukraine.

The implementation of this project will enable approximately 1,100 IDP families to access affordable housing by 2025,” the agency reported.

According to Darmolodzhytlo, the signing of this agreement marks the beginning of the second phase of the 'Housing for IDPs' project.

During the first phase, funded from 2021 to 2025 through a grant from the German government via KfW bank, over 1,050 IDP families were able to purchase their own homes.
