Google has announced a funding allocation of $1.5 million to support the Ukrainian educational project "Dream." These funds will assist in the nationwide implementation of the ecosystem in schools, pilot programs in kindergartens, and attracting new users.
The primary goal of "Dream" is to engage over 500,000 parents and students by providing a centralized hub that unites all participants in the educational process. Recently, the project announced new artificial intelligence features designed to help children discover and develop their talents. AI will also be used to optimize teachers' workflows, and in the future, the technology may assist in creating tests.
"At Google, we believe that education is the foundation for building a successful future, and the 'Dream' platform is a shining example of this vision. Our support will help the 'Dream' team expand its activities, integrate advanced AI tools for personalized learning, and enhance the capabilities of Ukrainian students, teachers, and parents. This support is a testament to our shared mission—to use technology to open new opportunities for everyone," said Rowan Barnett, Director of Google.org Europe.
Support from Google will be implemented through a partnership with the Eastern Europe Foundation, which acts as a key intermediary in the implementation of initiatives and programs aimed at developing "Dream."
"Support from Google is an important signal that Ukraine is creating innovative products that change people's lives and open new opportunities for our children. In September, over 2000 schools began training with Dream. In 2026, we will launch a pilot for preschool education and develop a concept for higher education institutions. With Google's support, we will be able to develop the product even faster, adding new features and AI-based tools," said Mykhailo Fedorov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.
In September 2024, "Dream" was launched in a testing phase, and in April 2025, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the web portal and app became available to all interested schools. More information about the project and how to join can be found on the official website.
