The American tech company Nvidia has announced the development of a new processor for the Chinese market that will exceed the current H20 in its capabilities.
This information comes from sources familiar with the matter, as reported by Reuters.
The new processor, preliminarily named B30A, will utilize a monolithic architecture, which is expected to simplify compared to the dual-chip configuration of the flagship Nvidia B300 model.
A monolithic architecture means that all essential components are integrated into a single chip, offering advantages in efficiency.
The chip will feature high-speed memory and Nvidia's NVLink technology for rapid data transfer between processors, similar to the H20, which is based on the older Hopper architecture.
Specifications for the new chip are not finalized yet, but Nvidia plans to provide samples to Chinese clients for testing as early as next month.
“All of our offerings have full approval from the relevant authorities and are intended solely for profitable commercial use,” the company stated.
It is noted that Nvidia only received permission to resume H20 sales to China in July after export restrictions were imposed in 2023, and the U.S. abruptly ordered the company to halt sales in April.
