In Kyiv, at the training center, a championship in practical shooting was held, organized with support from the Kyiv city organization of the sports society «Dynamo» of Ukraine. Nearly 80 participants took part, including 15 veterans who served in combat.
The competition had a practical focus, as participants practiced exercises closely resembling conditions currently faced on the front lines. Such training helps improve rapid response skills, tactical thinking, and teamwork – all aimed at a common goal: the defense of Ukraine.
Veterans participating in the championship showcased a high level of professionalism, sharing combat experiences and practical advice with their colleagues. This event marked an important step in the implementation of the police's veteran support policy in Kyiv through sports.
Ruslan Hubanov, assistant to the chief of the Kyiv police on veteran issues, noted: «These competitions are not just a test of accuracy. We are honing skills that will assist in real situations. Sports and practice are the paths to strength, resilience, and confidence needed both in service and on the front lines».
At the end of the championship, the best shooters were awarded valuable prizes from the Kyiv police sports club, and winners received trophies, medals, and certificates from the Kyiv city organization of the sports society «Dynamo» of Ukraine.
The Kyiv police continue to implement initiatives aimed at supporting veterans and enhancing the professional training of personnel. Unity, resilience, and a high level of skill among all are the keys to collective victory.
