Ukrainian mixed martial artist Anna Hyria has been honored as the best amateur athlete of the year by the International MMA Federation. This was announced by the MMA Federation of Ukraine.
In February 2025, she became the world champion in Tbilisi in the under 47.6 kg category. Additionally, Anna earned a gold medal at the European Championship in the same month.
Another accolade at the annual IMMAF Athlete Award was given to Maria Klein, who won the title of "Youth Athlete of the Year".
Maria, a forced migrant from Orikhiv, recently became the world champion in the youth category up to 56.7 kg.
