On October 17-18, a seminar organized by the Ukrainian Olympians Association took place in the Zhytomyr region. This event gathered Olympians, representatives of the regional branches of the NOC of Ukraine, and members of the sports community. The program was rich with working sessions, youth engagement, and ecological initiatives.
Dozens of renowned Ukrainian athletes actively participated in the seminar. NOC of Ukraine President Vadym Guttsait also attended, greeting everyone and wishing them success in their endeavors.
A special highlight was the interaction with young athletes: an inspiring meeting took place at the Zhytomyr Regional Sports Lyceum, where a tree-planting ceremony was held in honor of the Olympians.
Athletes also visited the “Avangard” sports complex, where they met with students from the departments of modern pentathlon, swimming, wrestling, judo, kickboxing, and cheerleading. As part of the seminar, the participants took part in the opening of the Zhytomyr regional championship in freestyle wrestling and swimming, encouraging young athletes and inspiring them for future victories.
The NOC of Ukraine team sincerely thanks the Ukrainian Olympians Association, led by Nina Umaneць, for the excellent organization and meaningful content of the seminar, as well as expresses gratitude to the NOC of Ukraine branch in Zhytomyr and all those involved in this significant event.
