The basketball season has commenced in Ukraine. Three capital teams have started their campaigns in the men's and women's Super League.

MEN'S SUPER LEAGUE — BC «KYIV-BASKET»

The Ukrainian Basketball Championship consists of two phases. Initially, all ten teams will compete in a round-robin format over four rounds (two home games and two away games). The teams finishing in the top eight will proceed to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and then the 1-2 and 3-4 place matches in a playoff format to two victories. «Kyiv-Basket» has already completed two rounds (two matches each) and has won all four games.

WOMEN'S SUPER LEAGUE — «KYIV-BASKET» AND «BUDIVELNYK»

The women's Super League for the 2025/2026 season features only five teams, with two from the capital — «Kyiv-Basket» and «Budivelnyk». The structure mirrors that of the men's league, with a regular phase followed by playoffs. In the initial phase, teams will also play four rounds with away games, and in the playoffs, four teams will compete from the semi-finals.

Only one round has been held in the women's Super League, where the Kyiv teams faced off against each other twice. In both cases, the players of «Budivelnyk» emerged victorious.
