In Ukraine, during the first three months of 2025, the gambling industry contributed 5.4 billion UAH in tax payments to the state budget, which is a 20.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
This was reported by Danilo Hetmantsev, the head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax, and customs policy.
“This amount is 143 times greater than the January-March 2021 level (37.7 million UAH),” the parliamentarian noted.
According to his data, in January 2025, the budget received 735 million UAH, in February – 1.52 billion UAH, and in March – 3.13 billion UAH.
He also reported that the turnover from using cash registers (RRO/PRRO) in the first two months of 2025 reached 8.5 billion UAH, exceeding the level of January-February 2024 by 18.5 times (0.5 billion UAH).
“The introduction of mandatory use of RRO/PRRO by the gambling industry at the end of last year has contributed to the legalization of the sector,” Hetmantsev remarked.
It is worth noting that the Cabinet of Ministers established the state agency “PlayCity,” which will implement state policy in the area of organizing and conducting gambling and lottery activities.
