Preparatory work is scheduled to begin this month.

A large-scale project for the establishment of a high-tech orthopedic and trauma center at the regional clinical hospital has kicked off in the Kyiv region.

The announcement for the construction was made during a ceremonial event attended by American businessman and philanthropist Dell Loy Hansen, the Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine's recovery Oleksii Kuleba, and Deputy Minister of Health Ihor Kuzin.

This information was reported by the head of the Kyiv regional state administration Mykola Kalashnyk.

A symbolic capsule was ceremonially laid on the site of the future center, marking the beginning of the project implementation. Additionally, the first magnolia trees were planted in the park near the hospital, named after the benefactor.

The project is being implemented in partnership between the Kyiv Regional State Administration and the "Hansen Mission in Ukraine" Charity Fund.

Preparatory works will start this month.

The medical facility will be fully inclusive, featuring autonomous energy supply, including solar panels. Two operating rooms, an intensive care unit, and a shelter will be constructed. About 480 specialists from various fields, including surgery, traumatology, orthopedics, therapy, and maxillofacial surgery, will work at the center.

The new center will provide a complete cycle of care—ranging from surgical interventions and prosthetics to rehabilitation and reintegration into active life. It will serve as a crucial component of the medical recovery system in Ukraine, assisting both military personnel and civilians affected by Russian aggression.
