On June 8 and 9, an impressive installation titled "Black Cloud" will be displayed in Kyiv, weighing seven tons and measuring 30 meters in length.
This installation is composed of 45 small cloud shapes, made from four kilometers of black fabric.
Occasionally, the 30-meter structure emits thunderous sounds, with lightning flashing, creating an atmosphere of alert.
For Ukrainians, this installation reflects their reality, as constant Russian attacks on civilians lead to the appearance of black clouds even on clear days, with explosions and fires becoming a common occurrence.
"We believe there are many threats in the world that people often ignore. Our message is to be prepared for the storm that is approaching and not to close our eyes to reality," said project producer Maria Moroz.
This art object is made of wood and metal; it features the voices of real people who have survived captivity. Their stories are the truth that must be heard on a global level," reports the National Reserve "Sophia of Kyiv".
The installation is massive, weighing seven tons, measuring 30 meters in length, 17 meters in width, and 15 meters in height.
"The main message is to be ready! We wanted to convey that the easy times are over for everyone, and we must face challenges head-on without hiding from them. We're not sure people realize this," warns artist Alexey Sai.
Burning Man is an annual independent art festival held in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada for 39 years. Various art installations are set up in the desert during the festival, and at the end, organizers traditionally burn a giant wooden figure of a person.
In 2024, the festival will take place from August 25 to September 2. For this event, Ukrainian artist Alexey Sai also created a sculpture of large letters forming the phrase "I`m fine!" The inscription was made from destroyed signs of Ukrainian settlements.
