Elon Musk Steps Away from Politics to Focus on Business

Billionaire Elon Musk, who previously engaged in political activities, has decided to return to business, specifically to his companies Tesla and SpaceX.

This information was published by the Washington Post.

Musk stated that his priorities will now center on Tesla and SpaceX projects.

This decision comes in response to public backlash and declining profits associated with his political engagement.

Over the past year, Musk was a strong supporter of President Donald Trump, investing over $288 million into his campaign, as well as the formation of the Department of Government Efficiency, which dealt with workforce reductions in the federal government.

Musk has also expressed concern for his personal safety, not anticipating such a level of negative reaction against himself and his companies.

“I feel I have done enough,” he remarked, adding that he plans to spend “much less” on political activities unless a specific reason arises.

Now, Musk is focused on advancing his core businesses.

At Tesla, he is preparing to launch an autonomous vehicle in June this year, and is also developing Cybercab - a driverless car without a steering wheel or pedals.

SpaceX is planning to conduct a test launch of its new-generation Starship rocket next week.

Additionally, Musk is working on preparations for an unmanned Mars mission scheduled for 2026, and the company continues its collaboration with NASA under the Artemis program, which aims to land astronauts on the Moon by 2027.

It is noted that Musk's departure from politics could be a significant loss for the Republican Party, which relied on his financial support and organizational resources.
