"Ukrpost" is set to launch a new series of stamps depicting lighthouses located along the shores of the Black and Azov Seas, including some situated in temporarily occupied Crimea.

This collection is part of the "Lighthouses of Ukraine" series initiated in 2009, as reported by the company.

The release coincides with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the State Hydrography, the agency responsible for maintaining Ukrainian lighthouses.

"This time, the stamps will tell the stories of lighthouses from the Black and Azov Seas, as well as those in Crimea, which, though temporarily occupied, remain an integral part of Ukraine in the hearts of its people", the company explained.

The new stamps depict:

  • The Ay-Todor and Chaudin lighthouses in Crimea;
  • The Shagan lighthouse in Odesa region;
  • The Bilosarai and Berdyansk Upper lighthouses in the Sea of Azov;
  • The Russian Rear lighthouse, or the Bug-Dniester-Liman Canal, in Mykolaiv region.
