The Czech Republic is prepared to finance the upgrade of 13 hospitals across seven regions in Ukraine as part of the Ukraine Facility initiative.
This was announced by Ukraine's Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko on his Facebook page, according to "European Truth".
He highlighted that the Czech Republic aims to invest 100 million euros in hospital upgrades under the Ukraine Facility program. So far, funding for 6 projects has been preliminarily approved.
Among the healthcare facilities receiving support are the Lviv Regional Hospital for Veterans and Repressed Persons named after Yuriy Lipa, the Rivne Regional War Veterans Hospital, the Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital, Kryvyi Rih City Hospital No. 5, City Clinical Hospital No. 16 in Dnipro, and the Kyiv Regional Children's Hospital.
"These are not just projects – they represent real changes for patients. We are grateful to the Czech Republic for their support and willingness to assist Ukraine on this crucial path," Lyashko noted.
It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday, April 1, the European Commission transferred 3.5 billion euros to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility.
On March 20, European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis stated that the EU would continue to provide financial support to Ukraine in 2025 through proceeds from frozen Russian assets and according to the Ukraine Facility plan.
