Restoration of Ukrzaliznytsia's Online Services Continues

The teams of "Ukrzaliznytsia", alongside partners and leading experts, are engaged in a non-stop effort to restore online services.

This has been reported by the press service of UZ.

"A backup infrastructure has been deployed in a secure environment, all components are prepared for the restart from backups of critical systems, thorough diagnostics of backups and identification of all potentially harmful elements are ongoing. Complex connections between various systems are being restored," – the message states.

UZ noted that ticket offices at all stations continue to operate in an enhanced mode with extended schedules. For instance, in Kyiv, 18 ticket offices were opened on March 24 instead of the usual 8. All trains continue to run strictly on schedule.

The online systems of "Ukrzaliznytsia" were targeted in a large-scale cyber attack on Sunday, March 23: the restoration of all systems lasted throughout the previous day and continues.

The key ticket sales system of "Ukrzaliznytsia", which all ticket offices rely on, withstood the attack and maintained its functionality.
