In today's session, the Kyiv City Council has decided to allocate over 5 billion UAH for the support of Defense Forces and security.
This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko.
Of this amount, 4.9 billion UAH will be directed to the "Defender of Kyiv" program. Additionally, over 93 million UAH is allocated for the social protection of veterans. Another 10 million UAH is earmarked as a grant from the city budget to the state budget of Ukraine for defense measures.
The Kyiv City Council will also increase the one-time material assistance for mobilized residents from 30,000 UAH to 50,000 UAH.
Furthermore, the council plans to raise the monthly financial assistance provided to medical workers.
This specifically involves increasing the amount for junior medical staff in healthcare facilities that provide medical and/or rehabilitative assistance.
Currently, they receive 2,000 UAH per month, and this payment will increase to 3,000 UAH.

The Kyiv City Council has approved a budget for 2025 exceeding 90 billion UAH. "The budget is balanced. It is important that the most crucial sectors and projects are financially supported so that we can assist the military and ensure the city’s functionality," stated Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
