The Office of the Prosecutor General has submitted an indictment to the court against two individuals who deceived farmers out of more than 3 million UAH.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The previously convicted men posed as government officials, calling potential victims and offering them foreign grants for agricultural development.

They persuaded farmers to pay fees as commissions. After acquiring the funds, they converted the money into cash.

The defendants promised the farmers they would fulfill their contractual obligations to delay any complaints to law enforcement, but later ceased all communication.

The accused are currently in custody.
