An engaging chess tournament was held at the Kyiv railway station, allowing all interested individuals to compete against international master Sergey Pavlov.
Over 20 participants joined the event, including both adults and children, as reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
Sergey played simultaneously against several players, and only one chess player, Oleksandra Udod, managed to defeat the renowned opponent. Her confident play impressed both the audience and the master himself.
The event was organized by Ukrzaliznytsia in collaboration with the Ukrainian Chess Federation to promote chess among passengers and remind them that the railway is not just about travel, but also cultural initiatives!
The audience welcomed the participants and the master with applause, and Ukrzaliznytsia presented commemorative gifts.
Such competitions are planned to continue in the future.
