During the MSPO exhibition in Poland, the Ukrainian company Fire Point unveiled its latest strike drone, the FP-2, classified as a "middle strike" drone aimed at engaging targets close to the front lines.
This new drone closely resembles the long-range FP-1 UAV, which is used to hit targets deep in enemy territory, but features different specifications. Its operational range has been reduced to 200 km, while its payload capacity has increased to 105 kg.
The FP-2 is capable of autonomously targeting stationary objects as well as engaging moving targets under operator control via radio link. The drone can operate both during the day and at night.
It is noted that the FP-2 is already being deployed at the front, with developers offering both stationary and mobile launch options that can be camouflaged as trucks.
Additionally, Fire Point announced several new projects at the MSPO exhibition, including ballistic missiles FP-7 and FP-9. The FP-7 has a stated strike range of up to 200 km with a payload of 150 kg, while the FP-9 can cover distances of up to 855 km with a payload of up to 800 kg.
It’s worth mentioning that in spring, the FP-1 drone was introduced, designed for striking the enemy at strategic depths. This UAV can carry a payload of up to 120 kg and fly up to 1600 km.
