A significant event unfolded in Lviv as thousands gathered to pay their respects to Andriy Parubiy at St. George's Cathedral, where a Great Memorial Service took place on September 1st.

This was reported via Telegram by the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, who also participated in the mourning activities.

"I came to bid farewell to Andriy Parubiy. I attended the Great Memorial Service at St. George's Cathedral in Lviv. Many people came to honor the memory of a great patriot, a person who loved Ukraine deeply and devoted his life to its freedom," wrote Vitali Klitschko.

He spoke with Andriy's father, Mr. Volodymyr Parubiy, and expressed his gratitude for raising a true fighter for Ukraine and for supporting him in his efforts for a strong Ukrainian state.

"I extended my condolences to the family and spoke with Andriy's father, Mr. Volodymyr. I thanked him for raising such a worthy son who always sought freedom for Ukraine. Eternal memory to Andriy Parubiy - a bright and honorable person, a true fighter for Ukraine. Thanks to people like him, our state has endured and strengthened," added Vitali Klitschko.
