Since the beginning of the gun declaration process in Ukraine, citizens have registered 11,738 firearms and over 5 million rounds of ammunition.

This information was provided by the National Police of Ukraine.

«As of August 25, 2025, a total of 10,687 individuals have approached the police to declare 11,738 firearms and 5,413,413 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, 347 firearms and 58,630 rounds of ammunition have been surrendered voluntarily without declaration,» the NPU stated.

It was previously reported that as of August 14, 2025, about fifty individuals are visiting the police daily to declare their firearms.

On November 25, 2024, the Ukrainian law «On Ensuring Participation of Civilians in the Defense of Ukraine» came into effect, which regulates the obtaining, declaration, and handling of firearms.
