MAGURA UNITED: charity football event took place in Kyiv to support Ukraine's military intelligence
On July 12, at the «Dynamo» stadium in Kyiv, stars of Ukrainian culture, football veterans, and military scouts gathered for a charity football match «MAGURA UNITED» to support the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The purpose of the event was to raise funds for the purchase of the latest MAGURA drones for military intelligence.
Before the match began, the National Anthem of Ukraine was played, and a moment of silence was observed to honor those who sacrificed their lives for Ukraine's independence.
General-Lieutenant Kyrylo Budanov expressed gratitude to the players for their support of the military's capabilities.
“Today, MAGURA is not just a sea drone; it is an innovative weapon known worldwide for its successful combat operations. We have recently recorded five achievements due to these drones. Thank you to everyone who supports MAGURA and helps make our country stronger,” Budanov stated.
The first symbolic kick of the match was made by a member of the special forces unit GUR “Group 13” with the call sign “Khan.” This unit utilizes the latest sea drones.
The match featured two teams: “Formula of Victory” and “Ukraine Artists Team,” composed of actors, athletes, presenters, musicians, volunteers, and military personnel. The teams were coached by Oleksandr Holovko and Oleksandr Hatskevych.
Among the participants were musicians Amil and Ramil Nasirov, Artem Damnytskyi, Ivan Liulenov, Bakhroma and Yevhen Zhuravlyov; actors Mykhailo Dodalev and Valeriy Skovronskyi; TV presenter Andriy Djedzhula, as well as Skrudzhi and Tamerlan; comedians Petro Bamper and Sus, Slava Kedr; and famous ex-footballers such as Yevhen Khacheridi, Artem Yashkin, Volodymyr Lysenko, Denys Oliynyk, Vitaliy Lysytskyi, and many others.
“During the large fundraising effort for a new batch of MAGURA drones, over 30 million UAH has already been raised. This funding has financed the production of MAGURA V7 strike drones and reconnaissance modifications W6P. Thank you to everyone who participated in the fundraising and organization of this charity match. The collection continues,” said the head of the charity fund Diana Podolyanchuk.
