Since the start of 2025, more than 4.6 thousand hectares of agricultural land have been surveyed in the Kyiv region, of which over 1 thousand hectares have been de-mined.
This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.
Overall, since the beginning of the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine, more than 37.6 thousand hectares of territory have been surveyed in the region, including nearly 8,136 hectares of agricultural lands.
According to Kalashnyk, harvesting has begun in Kyiv region, but in order for the liberated territories to be productive again, they first need to be cleared of deadly “gifts” from the occupiers.
“Today, farmers are harvesting early cereals and legumes. The first harvests in Kyiv region were started by farms in the Bila Tserkva area. The initial results are promising – the yield is good. Soon, agricultural producers from all over the region will join the harvest. A mass collection of other crops is expected closer to mid-July,” added Kalashnyk.
