Tragedy in Komisarivka: Explosion of Ammunition Claims Child's Life

A tragic incident unfolded in Komisarivka, Mykolaiv region, when a woman brought a grenade to her neighbors' yard, which exploded. As a result, a three-year-old boy lost his life, and the woman herself suffered fatal injuries.

This incident took place on the evening of May 20, as reported by the Main Department of the National Police of the Mykolaiv region.

Authorities discovered that a 41-year-old local resident, while intoxicated, approached her neighbors and requested to be taken to the store.

After being refused, she returned home but later came back with a dangerous explosive that detonated in the yard.

"As a result of the explosion, a three-year-old boy - the son of the homeowners - was killed, and subsequently, the woman also died from her injuries," police added.

At the scene, law enforcement found remnants of a hand grenade F1, intended for inflicting harm on living beings.

In the woman's house, over 100 cartridges of various calibers for automatic weapons were discovered. The ammunition was seized for expert evaluation.
