Naftogaz has signed a groundbreaking agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for gas procurement amounting to 500 million euros. 

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko via Telegram. 

"This agreement is unprecedented for Ukraine — 500 million euros for gas. It represents the largest project undertaken by the bank in our country," she stated.

Svyrydenko also noted that this is the first time such a credit is provided under EU guarantees, without any Ukrainian state guarantees.

"This will enable Ukraine to better prepare for the heating season, ensuring warmth and light for households even during the toughest winter days. I thank the EBRD and the EU for their support, and the government and Naftogaz teams for their professional efforts," the Prime Minister emphasized.
