Ziferblat to Represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2025

The band Ziferblat, performing their song Bird of Pray, is set to represent Ukraine at the Eurovision 2025 competition in Switzerland.

The group emerged victorious in the National Selection.

Ziferblat with Bird of Pray to Compete in Eurovision 2025

Ten participants took part in the final: FIЇNKA, Future Culture, KHAYAT, KRYLATA, MOLODI, Ziferblat, Abie, DK Energetik, Masha Kondratenko, and Vlad Sherif. 

The winner was determined based on the voting results from the jury (50%) and the audience (50%).

Ziferblat received the highest score among the finalists.

The audience rated the group's performance with a perfect score of 10, while the jury awarded them 9 points. 

Last year, Ziferblat participated in the National Selection for Eurovision 2024.

At that time, the group finished in second place with the song Place I Call Home. The winners were alyona alyona & Jerry Heil with the song Teresa & Maria. 

Eurovision 2025: Event Dates

The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in the Swiss city of Basel.

The grand final is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, with the semifinals on May 13 and 15. 

According to Suspilne, the event will be held at the St. Jakobshalle arena.

A total of 38 countries will participate in the contest. 

32 of them will compete in the semifinals. 

Up to 20 participants will advance to the final. Additionally, the representatives from the «Big Five» countries (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain) and the previous year's winner, Switzerland, automatically qualify for the final.

Eurovision 2024: Who Won

Last year, the competition was won by representatives from Switzerland - non-binary singer Nemo with the song The Code. 

Nemo's composition aimed to raise awareness about gender identity and mental health issues. 

The second place went to Croatian artist Baby Lasagna.

Ukraine secured third place at Eurovision 2024, represented by the duo alyona alyona & Jerry Heil with the song Teresa & Maria. 

The composition was inspired by the strength of Ukrainian women, who face numerous challenges and trials during the war.
