The Khanenko Museum has been honored with the esteemed The Best in Heritage — Project of Influence 2025 award, presented during the 24th annual conference in Barcelona. This year, the event brought together over 150 professionals and 40 laureates of prominent international awards in the cultural heritage sector.
The award was accepted on behalf of the entire team by the museum director, Yulia Vaganova. Each year, only two projects are selected for recognition under the Project of Influence and IMAGINES programs.
The Khanenko Museum was nominated as the winner of the CIMAM Outstanding Museum Practice Award 2024. The jury noted that this project, born from the 'pure resilience of those facing the reality of war,' transformed the emptiness of museum halls into a space for community, creativity, and solidarity, becoming a symbol of resilience and inspiration for the future.
The team emphasized that this award signifies the strength of culture and the trust in Ukrainian institutions worldwide, which remain centers of life, meaning, and hope even in times of war.
