The State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, reports the State Special Communications Service.
Enhancing Ukraine-Sweden Cooperation on Critical Infrastructure
The memorandum outlines scientific and methodological collaboration for planning protections and improving the resilience of critical infrastructure, along with the exchange of experiences and best practices to enhance protection processes.
MSB's Director-General Mikael Frisell emphasized Sweden's commitment to supporting Ukraine and readiness for comprehensive cooperation with the State Special Communications Service. “Protecting critical infrastructure from all forms of attacks... is vital for a resilient society,” he stated, adding that Sweden is interested in learning from Ukrainian experiences.
Head of the State Special Communications Service Oleksandr Potii described the signing of the memorandum as a logical continuation of negotiations with Swedish colleagues. “This is particularly relevant during wartime... We are keen to exchange experiences with Sweden and are ready to share ours,” noted Potii, thanking Sweden for its support.
