Kyiv has received 130 generators of various capacities from Poland, as announced by Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram.
This assistance is crucial in the ongoing energy crisis, allowing the city to bolster the resilience of critical facilities and social institutions, Klitschko emphasized.
The funds for the generators were raised by Polish volunteers, who collected 80 million zlotys (about 2 million euros) in just 10 days from 60,000 donors.
Among the generators received are one diesel generator FD 600 D with a capacity of 600 kW, one FD 80 B with 80 kW, 20 FOGO FV20000TE / TRE generators each with a capacity of 20 kW, and 108 FOGO F12000iSG generators each with a capacity of 12 kW.
The total capacity of the equipment delivered is 2,376 kW.
The first batch of generators arrived on January 26, funded by charitable donations.
Klitschko also mentioned that another batch is expected soon, with an additional 90 generators already on their way from Warsaw.
He noted that thanks to Poland, Ukrainians have received substantial humanitarian aid, including energy supplies, medical equipment, food, and other essential resources.
The European Union is set to deliver 447 generators to Ukraine within a week for critical infrastructure needs in Kyiv and frontline regions.
