More than 100 state and government leaders will gather in Davos, Switzerland, for the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF). According to the WEF press release, the 56th annual meeting will run until January 23, 2026, under the theme «Spirit of Dialogue».
During the sessions focused on geopolitics and economic growth, the forum will explore how to revive cooperation in the face of conflicting norms, strained alliances, and diminishing trust.
«New models of cooperation can unlock opportunities even when traditional notions of security, sovereignty, and global integration are turned upside down,» WEF stated.
The forum will also focus on how governments and businesses can better invest in people, create a resilient workforce, transition to new skills, and enhance well-being in an era of profound change.
In total, the World Economic Forum is expected to gather around 3,000 leaders from various sectors across more than 130 countries. Participation from 400 leading political figures is anticipated, including about 65 heads of state and government, six G7 leaders, and nearly 850 top global CEOs and chairpersons, along with analysts, experts, civil society representatives, religious organizations, media, and more.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Ukraine will be represented at the World Economic Forum in Davos by a high-level delegation, with plans for contacts with the American side.
