Unidentified drones were detected above the Volkel military air base in the Netherlands. Ground forces attempted to engage them with weaponry; however, the drones managed to escape and have not been located since. This was reported by Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans on social media platform X.
“Last night, drones were confirmed over Volkel air base. Weapons were deployed from the ground to intercept them, but the drones fled and are currently untraceable. An investigation is ongoing. The use of drones near military facilities is prohibited, and we are taking necessary measures,” he stated.
